Do justice. Love mercy. Walk humbly. Repeat.
I fell in love with this kind soul when we were still in our teens. That was just over twenty-six years ago. Life together hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been worth it!
Together we’ve raised four free spirited adventurers & traveled thousands of miles across three countries and too many states to count.
We’ve lost our dream home (and nearly lost two of our girls) to a massive tree falling on our house during a PNW storm, one winter long ago.
We’ve dreamed big while homeschooling and living in a tiny RV, next to a church, for more than three years with our oldest three, even though we never drove it anywhere. (But, that’s a whole other story!)
We’ve started small family businesses and and worked well loved Farmer’s Markets for years before making it into our first internationally recognized print magazine (with our original handmade gifts) when I was eight months pregnant with our littlest darling.
We’ve served special needs orphans at a beautiful little Mission in Mexico where we would’ve stayed (Forever.) if we could’ve. We’ve lived simply more often than not and have loved and cared for the homeless, back home, on the Oregon Coast (because everyone needs community).
We’ve welcomed new friends & family in one breath and have lost some of those closest to us in the very next breath. We’ve carried others when we were strong and have been carried by others when we were weak.
And through it all we’ve grown (up) together, learning a little more each day how to love others the way the Father loves us. We live, and love, and laugh, and struggle with the best of them, while trying our best to embrace each season for what it is….
All because we know that in the end it will never be the stuff we gain in this life that matters the most… but the people we walk with and journey itself that makes it all worthwhile.
