Well played, October. Well played.
We’re enjoying this beautiful Autumn sunshine, while harvesting yet another handful of fresh herbs from the front yard gardens, and not-so-secretly wishing that the internet had a crazy-cool scratch ‘n sniff feature so we can share these with you all… seriously though, they smell so unbelievably amazing!!!
We love growing these (along with lots of other varieties of herbs) in/around our permaculture gardens.
And since they are so versatile we typically dry some and use others fresh in a variety of herbal baths & teas, as well as in culinary dishes, natural home remedies, and last but not least we love sharing them with friends!
What are some of your favorite go-to uses for fresh peppermint, lemon balm & rosemary? And do you grow them in your garden or in your kitchen?
Herbs pictured: Mentha x piperita, Melissa officinalis, and Rosemarinus officinalis.
